WHITE OAK, TX (KLTV) - Nine more days until Christmas and some kids in White Oak are going to have plenty of presents under their tree this year.
The White Oak Bank, fire department and the local Brookshire's teamed up and set up an Angel Tree.
White Oak residents then adopted a child and donated gifts to needy children in town.
This year, all 70 angels were adopted and will find bicycles, tricycles, and even a children's furniture kitchen set from old Saint Nick.
"I, at one time, was one of those parents that needed the help, and I know, too, what it means as a single parent," said Carolyn Mangum, with White Oak State Bank. "How much help it can be to have someone help you when you really need the help the most."
The fire department will be picking up all the presents from under the trees Thursday and distributing them to the families on Friday.
