GILMER, TX (KLTV) - At Gilmer High School the teachers and the student body were gearing up for the Buckeyes run for a state title.

It was an all day pep rally as the entire Buckeye student body worked themselves into a playoff fever.

Buckeye players ran through a gauntlet arch of student and teacher supporters. The entire school is pumped up to back up their buckeyes.

"All of our teachers, everybody here, kids are supporting the Buckeyes," said Crata Johnson, a Gilmer teacher. "We're backing them 100 percent. We want the whole community and surrounding areas to get behind the Buckeyes and support them, just like we are."

The Buckeyes play Abilene Wylie Saturday night at SMU for the state title.
