TYLER, TX (KLTV) - It was an afternoon of fun and discovery at the Discovery Science Place in downtown Tyler as we meet up with 10-year-old John. He hopes his spunky personality will guide him to a forever family.
"There she is maybe...that might be her," said John, trying to track down the queen bee inside the honeycomb. John loves animals, especially the kind you find at the zoo. You've got to have some energy to keep up with John. Although he is bright and capable of completing his work at school, John will need parents who can work closely with him to keep him on track and focused. A little geometry shows John's love for church.
"And, look what I'm going to make now: a cross, the cross of God," said John.
In addition to church, john loves to be outdoors and do typical boy stuff.
"Go places like go bowling on my birthday, go to Chuck E. Cheese and go here (Discover Science Place) one time," said John.
John needs a family who will encourage him to find hobbies or activities that fit his personality and physical abilities. And, this adventuresome boy really, really likes things to do with cars and trucks.
"I wish I was so tall I could drive a monster truck around this town on a race and take off...and then my favorite thing else would be dirt bikes," said John.
And, pretty much anything else with wheels! When asked what his three wishes would be, John was mum, hoping not to jinx it!
"I wished for something and it's my secret," said John. "But I can't think but I can't tell anyone because I want it to come true."
John has a twin sister and a younger sister, and while it's not in their best interest to be place together, it's very important that they are able to maintain contact with each other. He is smaller for his age but don't let that fool you. The energetic boy is quick thinking and very smart.
John is a boy that will keep you moving and your minding working, and will add an element of joy and adventure to a family willing to show this child the gift of love. If you'd like to know more about John call our gift of love hotline, toll-free, 1-888-kids-275.
