CASA, or Court Appointed Special Advocates, got a little help from little Picasso's.
Kids painted aprons at the Outback Steakhouse in Tyler, Wednesday afternoon. It's part of CASA's annual fundraising dinner, "Justice is Served." At the dinner, aprons similar to the one's decorated Wednesday will be auctioned off. But, the aprons up for sale were painted by abused children who are now part of the CASA program.
Pam McGee with CASA says the aprons, and the stories of the children who paint the aprons are often very moving. "I've had one that even framed his from last year because it touched his heart so much and he said he never wants to get so far removed that he didn't remember where that apron came from and the hands that painted it."
