Standoff Suspect Gets $10,000 Bond

Bond has been set for a Tyler man involved in a police standoff Sunday.

Twenty-year-old Jimmy Coleman remains in the Smith County Jail on a $10,000 bond, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Coleman was reportedly holding a hunting knife to a woman inside a home on Holley Street. After a short standoff, Coleman chased the woman out of the house, where police were waiting to catch him.

Investigators think Coleman and the woman were arguing about their relationship, when he pulled the knife. No one was hurt.
