DALLAS, TX (KLTV) - Wet snow fell Wednesday morning across the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex as an upper level storm system continued to move out of North Texas.
Reports of "moderate snowfall" were occurring in Denton, Collin, Tarrant and Dallas counties as rain transitioned over to snow. No significant accumulations were occurring as the ground temperatures were too warm for the snow to stick. The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for tonight for much of North and East Texas, meaning that temperatures overnight will be at or below freezing for the first time this season.
Our computer models are also hinting at another possibility of snowfall for a large portion of Texas on Friday as another disturbance moves in from the northwest.
