Proud of East Texas: Sally Wade

For 20 years Sally Wade was a portrait painter, and even though she met her husband while doing his portrait, she was looking for more in her art. When Wade began making jewelry, she knew she had found her art form.

Wade's designs are based on a long study of art history and time spent in Italy working with an art historian. Her one of a kind sterling silver pieces each tell a story, whether a biblical character or quote, an Italian scene or abstract design.

Wade has won numerous awards for her jewelry at juried art shows around the country. In fact, she's only home about a week out of every month.
