TYLER, TX (KLTV) - A government panel is telling women in their 40s to stop getting mammograms.
The United States Preventive Service Task Force says cancer screenings, like self-exams, also need to slow down.
These recommendations are gaining criticism from women and doctors around East Texas.
Tuesday afternoon, doctors offered various opinions and one woman who was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 25 thanks to her self-exam.
