A winter storm overnight left more than 4,000 people in Wood, Franklin, Van Zandt and North Smith counties without power Tuesday.
By Tuesday night, more than 2,000 still had no electricity.
More than 120 Maintenance crews will work overnight trying to restore all the power, says Debbie Robinson, General Manager of Wood County Electric. An additional 48 contractors were called in to help them with those lines.
Robinson says trees giving way under the weight of ice caused numerous power lines to fall.
