LSU Ready to Rumbelow

BULLARD, TEXAS (KLTV) -  Bullard senior Nick Rumbelow officially signed the dotted line Wednesday.   Rumbelow is set to play baseball for the national champion L.S.U. Tigers. First they beat Texas in the College World Series.   Now they steal one of the state's best.  Rumbelow picked the Tigers over the Rice Owls.  His mom Lori isn't too excited that he's moving seven hours away, but she couldn't be prouder.

"He'll be going a long ways off," said Lori Rumbelow.  "It's going to be different, but we're excited. It's a new chapter in his life and we can't wait to follow him at L.S.U."

"You wonder if they're good enough," said Nick's father Jay Rumbelow. "He obviously is good enough. It's really a dream come true for us."

Nick says he was ready to be a Tiger after the first visit.  He got to see the team show off their new national championship rings.

"Once I visited LSU, that was the place I wanted to be," said Rumbelow.  "Nothing else compared to it. The facilities, the coaching staff, nothing. It's just the greatest college you can go to."

Rumbelow says he can't wait to get to Baton Rouge, but he told me today that several pro teams have shown interest.  There's a good chance he'll be drafted next year.  Rumbelow says if the money was right, he'd consider going pro.  Right now he's leaning toward getting a degree and going to college.
