WINONA, TX (KLTV) - The votes are in! Of the Winona residents who voted in Tuesday's wet/dry election, 124 were in favor and 106 against allowing alcohol to be sold inside city limits.
It's the end of a battle that's been brewing for months in East Texas. The first go at this was back in May when the election ended in a tie and Winona stayed dry. A visiting judge ordered a re-vote after seven of the votes were cast by people living outside of the city.
In May, 188 people voted, but there was a bigger turnout this time around.
