LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - A Longview man hospitalized for a gunshot wound was released only to find himself arrested. 29 year old Samuel Tremain Harris of Longview was hospitalized on Thursday with a gunshot wound to the stomach. Investigating, police found Harris had struck the mother of his child several times at his home, then threaten her with a gun. A struggle ensued and the gun went off, hitting Harris in the stomach. Released from the hospital, Harris was booked into the Gregg County Jail on charges of aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
