Longview fire cares enough to wear pink

Released by the City of Longview:

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - The Longview Fire Department is wearing pink in recognition of October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To show support, Longview Fire personnel are wearing pink t-shirts on Thursday, October 29, and Friday, October 30. Breast cancer is a major health care issue that will affect more than 250,000 women and men this year in America.

"You may do a double take when you see a firefighter in a pink t-shirt. We're showing support and love in the form of wearing these pink T-shirts to inspire hope," says Assistant Chief Claude Ford.
