TYLER, TEXAS (KLTV) -  Kids at Van Middle School got to see quite a show Wednesday afternoon.  Dave 'Travelin' Davlin made a visit with several basketball tricks. Davlin holds the Guinness world record for spinning 12 basketballs on his body at one time.  The Texas native made it look easy, but it's far from it.

"The first couple of years it was 3 to 4 hours a day," said Davlin about practice time.  "Now that I'm not performing as much, it's 45 minutes, three or four times a week. But it becomes second nature."

Davlin told kids in the audience it took him over 100 attempts before breaking the world record in 1990.  He added that nothing great comes easy.  His dream was to be a world record holder.

"Sometimes I think the dream finds you," said Davlin.  "I was a good basketball player, but I enjoyed being on the stage and drama and doing those kind of the things. I just put the two together for a show and I've been doing that for 20 years."

Davlin has performed for several NBA teams and at the Olympic games.
