Health department hosts H1N1 clinic

GREGG COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Thursday, the Gregg County Health Department will hand out 400 doses of the H1N1 vaccine. Half of those are the live vaccine and half are the injectable type.

Who is eligible for the vaccine? Children 24-59 months of age, children 5-18 years of age who have underlying health problems that puts them at high-risk, pregnant women and health care workers who serve the afore mentioned groups. Health officials say only pregnant women and high-risk children will receive the injectable vaccine. Everyone else who qualifies, will receive the intranasal vaccine.

The H1N1 flu clinic will be Thursday 9:30am-4:30pm at the Gregg County Health Department. If supplies lasts, the clinic will continue Friday 9:30am-4:30am. But, the Health Department wants you to check with your doctor before you come.
