How to make a ghostly picture

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - We've all seen ghostly pictures. Something sort of transparent, or maybe one that looks like a figure in the background. But, sometimes you can't make it out. What if you could take a picture like that yourself? Maybe even make yourself a ghost? Well, you can, and it is not too hard if you have the right equipment.

So, what better place to take pictures of sprits than The Spirit Store, right? Might not even have to fake it. You'll need a camera with a controllable exposure so the lens will take pictures for five to 10 seconds, and you'll need a tripod.

Expensive cameras have a variable exposure, and some cheaper camera do, too. You'll have to consult your camera manual to find out if yours does it. After you are set, you just push the button and walk into the shot. Stand very still and wait. That's about it. After that it's all costumes and settings. There were a gaggle of ghosts at The Spirit Store (as you may well expect) and what did the ectoplasmic entities think? Wow. You could see through us. We looked like ghosts.

Okay, now that you know how it's done, we want to see how you can pull it off. Just grab your camera, and when your done, send us your pictures to theloop@kltv.com, or click here.
