Tyler fire fighters host cancer benefit

TYLER, TX - In memory of Tonya Malcolm, the wife of a Tyler Fire Fighter who lost her battle with cancer in 2009, the Tyler Professional Fire Fighters are hosting a benefit golf tournament at Cascades Golf Club on October 26th, 2009 in Tyler.

The tournament will benefit:
-Susan G. Komen For The Cure (Tyler)
-American Cancer Society (Tyler)
-Tyler Fire Fighters Cancer Awareness & Relief Effort (CARE) fund

We would like to invite all to join your local fire fighters in a day of golf and fun.
There will be prizes for first and second place teams as well as closest to the hole and longest drive. There will also be a putting contest with a first place prize and door prizes.

The putting contest will start at 10:00am. Registration at 11:00am with lunch provided. A shot gun start for the three or four man scramble will begin at 1:00pm.

This golf tournament is part of the efforts by the fire fighters to raise awareness and funds for local cancer organizations and Tyler Fire Department members and their families battling cancer.
