Released by Mary M. Smith with Winnsboro Fine Art Market:
Artists and art lovers are invited to the inaugural Patron's Dinner for the Winnsboro Fine Art Market November 6th 2009 at the newly completed Mineola Bank, on Main Street in Winnsboro. Tickets for the event are now on sale and may be purchased in Winnsboro at the Winnsboro Gallery, Art and Espresso and at the Copperleaf Spa.
The Patron's Dinner includes a reception and exclusive viewing of artist's favorite works at 6:00pm. Wines for the event are from Texas' own Lou Viney Winery. The gourmet dinner begins at 7:00pm, featuring Chicken Cordon Bleu. Cool Jazz will be provided by Enola Gay and Kurt Bittner.
Invited guests include the artists, local and state elected officials, as well as representatives from the Texas Commission on the Arts. During the festive weekend, the Commission will be making a presentation to Winnsboro for being selected as one of seven areas (and the only rural area) to participate in a Cultural & Art District Pilot Program for the State of Texas.
The Fine Arts Market will take place in the heart of Downtown Winnsboro, on November 7th and 8th from 10:00am to 5:00pm on Saturday and 11:00am to 4:00pm on Sunday. Everyone will enjoy the fall colors of the East Texas Piney Woods at their peak. Market and Elm Streets will be closed to traffic, with plenty of easy walking for visitors to see all the artists' booths. The area on Broadway, near the Historic Train Depot, will have continuous musical entertainment and food vendors. Pick up a copy of the Historic Walking Tour of the downtown at the Chamber of Commerce or at a downtown business. The Art Market is sponsored by the Winnsboro Main Street Partnership, Inc., a local non-profit group.
