In The Kitchen: Sangria

Serves 4


1/4 cup brandy
1/4 cup sugar, or to taste
1 apple, cored and cut into wedges
1 orange, sliced
Other fruit, as desired
1 750-ml. bottle red wine
2 tbsp. lemon juice


  1. Mix fruit, brandy and sugar.  Let sit for 1 hour. 
  2. Add wine and lemon juice. Let sit for another hour.
  3. Toss in some ice cubes and serve!
