DALLAS, TX (KLTV) - She's the kind of visitor you'd kinda expect at the largest state fair in America. And, Monday, Oprah brought her hit talk show to the "Big D". Here's a look at the all of the fanfare surrounding Oprah's visit to the State Fair of Texas.

It was standing room only as Oprah fans gathered at the State Fair of Texas.

"[I'm wearing] my new Stetson and my new boots I bought yesterday," said Oprah to the crowd. "I'm all 'Texified.'"

In the audience was 11-year-old Jocelynn Johnson of Tyler who joined her dad for the early morning trip.

"I watch Oprah sometimes and she's just really cool," said Jocelynn Johnson.

East Texans got up quite early to make the trip over to Dallas to see Oprah and Martina McBride. Some of the people we spoke with say their alarm clocks went off as early as 3:30am.

"I got up at 3:30 this morning so I could get ready for the Oprah Show," said B.J. Johnson. "I got some school teachers here early and I'm kind of like a chauffeur here today but I'm an Oprah fan too!"

"It's going to be crazy," said Shirley Johnson of Cason. "It's going to be on...because that's what Oprah does!"

And, Oprah was having fun. Especially with our Texas accent.

"After two days, everybody just starts talking like this," said Oprah, doing her best Texan impression.

Part of the show included Oprah's best friend, Gayle King, and, if you know Gayle's involved, there's going to be food. The two sampled all the purple ribbon winners for best in show to create their own best of the best.

"We have not disagreed so much since Gayle sang Celine Dion songs all the way across America," joked Oprah.

Which meant a tie between the Lemon Mousse Pie and the Cheesy Triziostrada.

Then, it was time for Martina McBride, as she sang some songs from her newest cd. And, with all sorts of people trying to get Oprah's attention, moments before the taping began provided the most entertainment, with a singer in the audience who got a chance to show off his skills and the pickle lady...yep...she was pimpin' her pickles.

Some were hoping for a Texas-size give away.

"Maybe [she'll give away] a million dollars," said Rachel Goth of Gun Barrel City. "I'd like that."

"I'm going to win that Tahoe," said Shirley Johnson. "I need a new car. I'm going to win."

There were no big giveaways, just a chance to see the bigger-than-life personality at the biggest fair in America. Oprah's production team can't say yet when the episode will air, but they did say it might be next week. As soon as we find out, we'll pass that information along to you.
