JACKSONVILLE, TX (KLTV) - Jacksonville Police are asking for public help to find suspected murderer they say is  armed, dangerous, and still on the loose.

Officers say on Wednesday, Gregory Charles Taylor II shot and killed a man at a Jacksonville apartment, all while the man's 2-year-old daughter was watching. Jacksonville Police are desperate to get at least one solid lead in finding Taylor.

"We've had a few calls," says investigating officer Nathan Winship. "We're trying to follow up on everything we can."

Witnesses say 26-year-old Kendrick O'Neal was in his apartment with his girlfriend and daughter when Taylor burst inside. And, after a disturbance, shot O'Neal. Although some tips have come in, nothing substantial has been found, and for Jacksonville police time can sometimes work against you in cases like this.

"He is considered armed and dangerous so any help we can get as far as locating him we would deeply appreciate it," says Jacksonville Police patrol officer Lex Moses.

"There's a sense of urgency. not only because they may flee the area. but for the safety of. not only officers. but other people as well that he may want to go after." Winship says.

Police say O'Neal was shot twice in the head. His daughter was standing near the doorway at the Sweet Union apartment complex. Police just need one solid lead to give the victim's family some justice.

"Seeing them the night of the murder and everything they need to have some closure on this and justice be served as well," says Winship.

Taylor is considered armed and dangerous. If you have any information on where he is, call Jacksonville Police immediately.
