LINDALE, TX (KLTV) - A late night run to a gas station turns into a fight for survival for two East Texas teens.

The attack all played out Monday night at the Valero station on Highway 69 in Lindale.

Police say quick-thinking saved two lives. 19-year-old Brianna Pratt and her friend came by the Valero to grab a soda when a woman followed them in. Brianna says the woman grabbed her 17-year-old friend by the hair and held a butcher knife to her throat. The woman demanded they call police, but Brianna didn't wait and grabbed a display rack, hitting the woman over the head. Police arrived soon after, arresting a 25-year-old woman, who is now hospitalized.

Once she is released, she'll be charged with aggravated assault. Neither, Brianna nor her friend were hurt.
