A Smith County man who assaulted two sheriff's deputies last night is now the subject of a Texas Ranger Investigation. 33-year old Kevin Nathan Glover was pronounced dead shortly after the altercation. Deputies were checking on glover after a series of bizarre 9-1-1 calls. When they arrived, glover apparently ran into his home and jumped out a front window, then attacked both officers. Deputies believe Glover was high on methamphetamines. Glover was pronounced dead when he arrived at the hospital. The two deputies are on "officer duty" pending results of the Texas Ranger Investigation. Glover's father told authorities his son had been using methamphetamine and was acting strange.
