Tyler police arrest victim for filing a false report

TYLER, TX (Tyler PD) -- Tyler police investigators determined that the reported Aggravated Robbery described below did not occur. Tyler police arrested Corey Lamont Isabell, B/M, age 30, of Tyler, for filing a False Police Report on Tuesday night, September 29, 2009.

Previous Report:

Police received a call that an aggravated robbery had occurred about 10:00 p.m. in the parking lot of 813 N. Broadway, on Tuesday, September 15, 2009.

The victim's car broke down at Broadway and Gentry.  Once he got the vehicle out of the roadway, he crossed the street to 813 N. Broadway to use the pay phone.  As he walked across the parking lot, 3 H/M, suddenly appeared and forced him to the ground.  One had a handgun, and told the victim to give them everything he had.  He told them, everything he had was in his pants.  The suspects then removed his pants and fled on foot.

A passerby then assisted the victim and took him home, where he called police.

The victim was not injured.

The investigation continues.
