Rep. Ralph Hall Speaks to Current and Former Tyler Pipe Workers

An East Texas congressman has spent much of his Friday hearing from current and former employees of Tyler Pipe about working conditions there.

Ralph Hall met with 24 of them in his Tyler office. Tyler Pipe, of course, has been the focus of a lot of media attention for working conditions many feel is very dangerous. Hall toured the plant recently, and says his constituents deserve to be heard as well.

"People were proud to work out there, and I want to see that day come again. [Tyler Pipe] have to make a profit and safety. And it seems like everyone at the Tyler plant want the same thing, so maybe we can work that out."

Hall says he's there to help the workers if they have trouble getting information from federal agencies. He doesn't forsee a congressional investigation right now.
