TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Saturday there will be a memorial service for slain teacher, Todd Henry. And, Thursday night, Robert E. Lee High School faculty held a candle light vigil in his memory. Teachers from both Lee and John Tyler were there. One by one, candle flames were exchanged, the light spreading throughout the crowd of strangers brought together by a common loss.

"We just thought how can we come by John Tyler and show our support and do something with their faculty to show that we do care about them," said Lezlie Boyd, with Robert E. Lee High School's faculty.

"Tonight, we're here to show our love our support our prayers for the Henry family," said Faye Baxter Jones, with the John Tyler High School Booster Club. "Our condolences go out to them. We're very sorry for what happened."

We have set up a link for people to share their memories of Todd Henry. You can leave your thoughts by clicking here.

Todd Henry's memorial will be at Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler at 10am Saturday. And, a tribute concert for Todd is set for next weekend. That concert will be Saturday, October 3rd at the Tyler VFW Post on Rhones Quarter Road. It starts at 8:30.
