TYLER, TX (KLTV) - We spoke with Todd Henry's brother, Jody Henry, on the phone from Huntsville. He said his brother loved his work. He said Todd used to work in the prison system but he had become burned out, and when he started working with special needs kids, he had found his place.
"He told me just last year that he'd finally found his calling, teaching these kids," said Jody Henry.
Jody Henry said his brother had been injured by students before. In fact, he missed the first couple of weeks of school to recover from surgery because of a shoulder injury, reportedly caused by a student a few years ago.
