CAMP COUNTY (KLTV) - Hundreds of East Texans got a first look at the brand new ETMC Pittsburg hospital and fitness center in Pittsburg today.
Residents say the new facilities are sure to bring physical and economic perks.
The hospital has 25 private rooms with pastoral views, as well as a fitness center called the "Patty and Bo Pilgrim Olympic Center," named for the man who started Pilgrim's Pride.
"I think this is the greatest thing that has ever happened to Pittsburg. Of course, I was born and raised here, been in business for 63 years and this is the greatest- not only for Pittsburg, but for the surrounding areas," said Bo Pilgrim, founder of Pilgrim's Pride.
"I've had MRI's and now I'll be able to come here to get them done, with better and newer equipment," said Dora Lee Shawver, of Pittsburg.
The Pilgrim's Olympic Center has a salt-water rehabilitation pool, along with all-new strength training equipment.
The new ETMC Pittsburg facility officially opens September 23rd.
