Arrest warrant issued for Southside Bank robbery suspect

Released by the Tyler PD:

TYLER, TX - At around 4:01 p.m. on September 16, 2009, the Tyler Police Department received a call of a bank robbery at 117 NNW Loop 323.  Officers were advised that a W/M with a pony tail in his late 40's wearing an orange shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes entered the Brookshires Store at Highway 64 west and Loop 323.  The male subject went to the Southside Bank In-store Branch and presented a demand note.  The subject was given an undisclosed amount of money.  The subject was last seen walking out of the store.

Investigators have developed information on the identity of the suspect in this case.  The Tyler Police Department has an arrest warrant for Lee Ross Potter, W/M, 52 years of age, of Tyler, Texas.  The Robbery warrant was issued by 241st District Judge Jack Skeen.  The bond on the warrant has been set at $750.000.00.

Anyone with information about the suspects involved in this crime is urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers, at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833). Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case or any felony case.
