The break-in occurred Sunday afternoon at a house on Glenwood Drive.

The homeowners told WBTV that someone broke through a screen door on the back porch and then used a heavy object to break through the door leading into the den.

Numerous things were taken, including more than $1,000 worth of jewelry, paintings, and the badge that once belonged to the homeowner's father.
