Cowboys Hall of Famer visits Tyler

By Ryan Peterson - bio | email

TYLER, TEXAS (KLTV) -  One of the greatest football players of all time was in Tyler Saturday.
Cowboys Hall of Famer Mel Renfro was in town to sign some autographs and relive the past.  The two time super bowl champion stopped by Signature Sports Gallery, taking pictures with fans and showing off his super bowl rings.  Renfro and his wife are in Tyler often to visit their son. Renfro loves talking Cowboys and still loves the game.  As the 2009 Cowboys kickoff the season, Renfro doesn't know what to expect.

"I'm going to take a wait and see attitude because I'm not really convinced they have that killer instinct yet," said Renfro.  "They'll start tomorrow (Sunday) and take it one game at a time. I hate hearing them talk about the super bowl. I'd like for them to talk about the next game. We'll wait and see. Hopefully they do well, I think they will do well."
