At Longview's First United Methodist Church, it was time to turn to faith and worship, and use this day to draw strength. The names of each astronaut from the shuttle Columbia was read. And a long period of silent prayer was held in their memories. For many, it was therapy, turning to their belief to help themselves and others. Their prayers were directed to the friends and families of the shuttle astronauts. And they hope their prayers are heard to heal through a time of national sadness.
