Bystanders watch and wait

Miami-AP -- As a standoff continues in a Miami intersection, some bystanders have become stranded by the drama.

One man who says he was pumping gas when the hijacked mail truck came to a stop nearby said with traffic blocked by dozens of police vehicles, nobody's being allowed to go anywhere.

A woman who works at a nearby U-Haul facility says police are everywhere -- even at her business. She says they appear to be talking to friends or relatives of the gunman.

Cynthia Yeisley (YEYE'-zlee) says it's "kind of exciting, but scary." She says she doesn't want to see anyone get hurt.
