MARSHALL, TX (KLTV) - Marshall Junior High was on lockdown Tuesday morning while police searched for a suspect on the loose, who has since been located.

Police say the search began when a local oilfield employee called to report a shooting in Harrison County. The employee had found the estranged wife of Richard P. Desgrange, shot in her left arm. Investigators say Desgrange had taken the woman to a location on FM 2199, where she was able to get away from him, fleeing on foot, but not before he shot her in the arm. The woman was taken to Good Shepard Medical Center Marshall.

Desgrange's body was found at about 1:31 Tuesday afternoon in his vehicle dead of what authorities say was "an apparent self inflicted gun shot wound."
