Three cars are totaled and six people were sent to the hospital Saturday night after a collision on Highway 155 North in Noonday.

Investigators believe alcohol played a role in the crash.

Late Saturday afternoon, DPS says Juan Guajardo, the driver of a 2002 Cadillac, was driving wrecklessly while under the influence.

Just in front of the Noonday Volunteer Fire Department, he rear-ended a vehicle, forcing it off the road. The collision also forced him across four lanes of traffic, and into the path of an on-coming car.

Investigators expected Guajardo to be released from the hospital Saturday night, and plan to charge him with intoxication assault.

At least one person is in serious condition after being life-flighted from the scene of the crash.
