HENDERSON, TX (KLTV) - Stacey Sullivan, Henderson ISD's communication director says Henderson High School was evacuated Friday morning after a bomb threat was called in at about 9:45am. School officials say no 'device' was found.

Students were gathered in the center courtyard of the high school and then bused to the Expo Center. Sullivan says she is pleased with how the students evacuated in an orderly manner, staying calm. She says they regularly practice evacuation procedures for moments just like this one.

With Friday's hot temperatures, the students were kept hydrated all morning.

Students with vehicles on campus were bused to their cars so they could remove the vehicles from campus. Parents were asked to pick their students up at the Expo Center at 1:30pm. You must bring a picture ID with you.
