TYLER, TEXAS (KLTV) - TK Gorman was a feel good story in 2008. The Crusaders followed a one win season, with a playoff appearance. This time around the Crusaders are thinking much bigger. Despite losing perhaps there best player, Kevin Nevetta, The Crusaders wan a district championship this fall. They say, they're still looking for respect.
"We've heard a lot of doubting from the fans and a lot of the parents, just without Kevin," said Gorman Running Back Ricky Hand. "But I think everyone's kept and positive outlook and everyone thought that we're going to be able to step up"
The loss of Nevetta, means the offense will spread the ball all over the field.
"It's going to be a lot different," said Gorman Quarterback Alex Fergersen. "When teams scout for us, they're not going to be able to say we've got to stop him, you know. It's going to be six to seven guys you've got to worry about on offense."
