Two 17-year-olds accused of auto burglary

TYLER, (KLTV) - Two suspected auto burglars have been arrested after Tyler Police investigated a "suspicious vehicle" on Chimney Rock Drive.

Early Wednesday morning, an officer on patrol, Marvin Bullard, saw the vehicle and spoke with the young people in the car. Bullard noticed there were several car stereos and some electronic equipment inside the vehicle. Authorities investigated further and found that the items had been reported as stolen from many vehicles in the South Tyler area.

Officers recovered those items, as well as, a chrome .22 caliber handgun, a screwdriver and a Pioneer remote control that were found inside the trash can of the restroom at the Food Fast store.

Adrian Jose Parga, 17, of Tyler was arrested and charged with two counts of Auto Burglary and an outstanding Theft Warrant. Also, Marco Antonio Calderon, 17, of Tyler was arrested and charged with two counts of Auto Burglary and Unlawful Carrying a Weapon. A juvenile was also found inside the vehicle, but was not arrested.

Tyler Police say, so far, they have received 12 telephone calls to date from people who have reported their vehicles broken into overnight in the South Tyler area.
