Today was a proud day for the town of Henderson. There was a pep rally held outside of Henderson Middle School for Henderson native and Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Ricky Dudley.
He will be playing in the Super Bowl against the Raiders this weekend. The community of Henderson is so proud that one of thier own is having such success. Damon Bishop taught science to Dudley in Middle School and said " I've been following Ricky's career all the way through, and we' ve had a chance to talk. I'm real proud of Ricky, I've got his football card in my drawer and I said if you ever make it to the Super Bowl I want you to sign it."
Dudley's nephew Justin Horton is in the 7th grade at Henderson Middle School, and was on hand for the pep rally. He was sporting his Tampa Bay number 88 Dudley jersey and said " I am excited for him to finally be playing in the Super Bowl and try to win him a ring."
