Pine Tree ISD gets parking lot upgrade

Posted by Ellen Krafve - email

Released by Vickie Echols with Pine Tree ISD:

Pine Tree ISD has expanded the parking lot next to the Pirate Stadium off Pine Tree Road. Fans will find it much easier to park while attending an event or visiting one of the buildings in the complex. The district has also contracted with Advance Paving to seal coat and stripe the parking lots near the Pine Tree Road Auditorium, P.A.C.E. campus, Central Administration and Pirate Stadium. This work began on August 14, 2009 and continues through the 27th of August 2009.

The work will be completed in phases due to upcoming functions in facilities near these parking lots as well as the start of school is quickly approaching.  Please review the attached map for instructions in regards to parking in these areas.

"We apologize in advance for the inconvenience," said Tony Hollins, Director of Maintenance and Operations. "The positive outcome caused by this inconvenience will result in fully functional parking lots to support our recently renovated auditorium and administrative offices."

On Monday the Associated Press released its top 25 preseason poll for college football. And for the third straight year, Texas A&M didn't make the cut. Starting fast though and moving their way up the polls in recent seasons hasn't been the problem. In fact, the Aggies, who have over a dozen East Texans on the roster, were number four in the initial playoff rankings last year.
