Three Backs, One Ball for Cowboys...

By Ryan Peterson - bio | email

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (KLTV) - With the trio of smash, dash and tash, the Dallas Cowboys may have the best set of running backs in all of football

It's a great weapon that we have. The option of three different running backs that have three different styles of playing the game," said running back Felix Jones.

Yet coach Wade Phillips is actaully concerned about the running game.

"We're really strong at running back itself, you can go into stats here or there, but we haven't been at the top of the league in the running game."

"We want to achieve that," said Tashard Choice, "we should be, no doubt about it, so that's what we're going to do."

Marion Barber is assumed to be the number one back, but Jerry Jones says with so many talented backs on the roster, there's no reason to label them A, B, or C."

"I just think it has everything to do with the play and the time of the game. I don't think that you have accurately assessed it if you've said that well you've got a couple of backups and you've got a starter."

It's a luxury to have three starting running backs.

Are there enough carries to go around?

"I don't know," said Felix Jones, "I guess we'll see. We'll see how it plays out, how the season goes and how they implement all three of us."

"We're a team," said Choice, "we're not really focused on who's getting what and who's doing this. We just want to win and that's what we're all about."

If they lose, then there could be a problem.
