Tropical Storm Claudette is getting closer to landfall on the Florida Panhandle.
The center of the storm is located about 55 miles west-southwest of Apalachicola, Florida and about 95 miles southeast of Pensacola, Florida. Maximum sustained winds are near 50 MPH, and there is some potential for the storm to strengthen a little more before making landfall in the Florida Panhandle late tonight or early Monday morning.
Tropical Storm Claudette is moving to the northwest at 12 MPH. Tropical storm warnings continue in effect from the Alabama/Florida border eastward to the Suwannee River in Florida.
