SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (KLTV) - Keith brooking is a rare breed, staying with the one team for a decade.

Now he takes a position for the cowboys, that's been a revolving door.

"This is my sixth inside linebacker," said linebacker Bradie James, "so I'm just trying to teach him what I know. He fits right in."

At age 33, Brooking is rejuvenated with the Cowboys, but the move to Dallas was not easy.

Brooking had never played outside of Georgia in his entire football career.

"You play 11 year pro in Atlanta," said Brooking, "college and high school in a 20 mile radius and the best scenario is not finishing there? I really don't think so. I believe this was meant to be and I feel very good about this season."

Brooking has already played for the hometown team.

He wants his story book ending in Dallas.

"I've seen a lot of football and this is by far the most talented defense I've ever been on."

When I looked at all my options as far as what was there and the possibilities that were here, I couldn't think of a better place to end my career."
