Whitehouse City Manager steps down

WHITEHOUSE, TX (KLTV) - Whitehouse City Manager Ronny Fite has stepped down.

According to Whitehouse Mayor John D. Hogden Jr., Fite has requested re-assignment within the city staff.

"Mr. Fite has decided it is time to provide City Council the opportunity to search for new leadership with fresh ideas to lead the city into the future," Hogden said in a statement. "Mr. Fite's heart has always been in the best interest of the city, and he wants to do whatever is necessary to promote the growth and prosperity of the city. He does desire to remain on staff to be a part of that ongoing process."

Mayor Hogden has requested Fite's re-assignment be placed on the agenda of the next council meeting.
