LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - Early Friday morning, two East Texans were arrested after leading Longview police on a short chase in a stolen Ford F-150.
The chase began on Mobberly Avenue at Cotton Street after officers saw the stolen vehicle and attempted to stop the truck. Once officers were able to stop the truck on Travis Street, the two suspects jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot.
In a short time, Charncy Willis III, 27, and Debrycelon Demond Becks, 24, were captured.
According to police, Willis had 6.1 grams of hydrocodone on him. He was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle (State jail felony), evading arrest (3rd degree felony) and possession of a controlled substance (Class A misdemeanor).
Becks was charged with evading arrest (Class B misdemeanor).
They were both taken to the Gregg County Jail. The stolen truck was returned to its owner.
