Van, TX (KLTV) -  If you get a chance this football season, you may want to make a trip to Van. The Vandals will be showing off a brand new football stadium and field house.  Head coach Brady Pennington couldn't stop smiling showing off his new weight room to KLTV sports on Tuesday afternoon.

"If you go into what we had, the size is almost double from what we had before," said Pennington.  "We're super excited about our weight room."

The room includes 20 different lifting stations.  The field house also has separate JV and varsity locker rooms.  Every room in the building has a video system set up to watch game film.

The view is better outside.  Pennington says the stadium will seat over five thousand fans, equipped with a new press box and scoreboard.  The scoreboard even has a small scale jumbotron. The new field turf steals with show, with a big red 'V' at midfield.  The end zones have 'Vandals' painted red, white and black.

"I'm just in awe," said Pennington.  "I can't believe how pretty it is. A lot of color in it. The red, the black and white. I love the Vandals trimmed in black. It's something our community can take pride in and the most awesome thing for us as an athletic department is I don't believe we cut any corners. They came in and put the very best stuff in."

Van opens the season at home August 27th, hosting Grand Saline.
