Suspect in aggravated burglary caught following chase

GREGG COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Gregg County authorities have confirmed that Jason Dean Wigley, 30, of Tatum is in police custody after a chase on Highway 149.

A homeowner told authorities he found a man in his house on Farm-to-Market Road 349, between Kilgore and Lakeport. Police told us the thief then ran out of the house and jumped into a late model Ford crew cab pickup. The homeowner says he began to follow the truck and was even shot at by the man during the chase. Authorities identified Jason Dean Wigley as the suspect.

Wigley has been charged with aggravated assault and burglary of a building.
