Cody Glenn adjusting to life as Redskin

By: Ryan Peterson - email

Rusk, Texas (KLTV) - Cody Glenn has always loved the Dallas Cowboys.  That all changed on N.F.L. draft weekend last April.  The rival Washington Redskins drafted Glenn in the fifth round.

"I remember last year, me being mad at the world when the Cowboys loss," said Glenn, visiting Rusk this week, before heading to training camp at the end of the month.  "So I never thought I'd be a Redskin."

Being a Redskin isn't the only big change for Glenn.  A star running back in high school and most of his college career, Glenn will be making his pro mark as a linebacker.

"It got me to my dreams and where I wanted to be," said Glenn of the position switch.  "So I'm excited about the change. I've still got love for the running back position deep down that's what I always loved to do was run the ball, but now I've got to hit the ball carrier."

Glenn says he can't wait to play the Dallas Cowboys in their new stadium on November 22nd.  For now he's ready to fight for playing time as a Redskins rookie.
