Tyler, Texas (KLTV) - They come from all over East Texas.

From as far as Mildred to Canton, Van and Henderson, and everywhere in betwee, the Sneaky Cleats Softball Team, is one of the best in the state.

Now they get to prove it on a national level.

"It is an honor for us," said shortstop Danielle Cotton, "we have worked really hard, and we deserve to go."

Confidence is not lacking among the Mean Green.

"I like to say that I am on the team," said catcher Lexi Callan, "we like to brag about how good we are."

The Mean Green recently captured a runner up at the ASA U-14 "A" State tournament, earning them a birth in the national tournament in Marietta, Georgia.

"It will be exciting," said pitcher Anna Cross, "we have had our ups and downs, but if we get it together, we will be ok."

And when they come back, the will have the best players to practice against...themselves.

"It is a little wierd," said Cotton, "We are teammates here, then we go back to school and we have to play each other, but it makes us much better players."

To help fund their trip to Georgia, the team is selling fireworks in Edom (outside of Brownsboro) and will be raffling off a 100 person party trip to Splash Kingdom in Canton.
