WebXtra: Hot Job? Petroleum Engineers

By Courtney Lane - bio | email

KILGORE, TX (KLTV) - We are on the road continuing our hot job series in Kilgore at FESCO Petroleum Engineering.

They definitely work up a sweat, especially in their fire-retardant suits. The oil field men come in around four or five in the morning and work all day under the sweltering sun.

"How has it been for you on the job?" I asked.

"We get out on the locations," said Rick Stone. "It's just out on pastures and stuff. There's no place to go and no air condition, no nothing. It was about 108 degrees on location the other day."

"Usually, when it gets the middle of the day, the tools get so hot you can't even touch them," said Christopher Ament. "Even through the gloves they feel pretty hot."

We'll feature this hot job on KLTV at 6 p.m. Thursday night and remember we want to hear from you.
